ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF BOARD SERVICE IS ATTENDING THE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION, WHICH OCCURRED THIS PAST SATURDAY.

IT WAS A WONDERFUL CEREMONY. WE WISH THE CLASS OF 2025 EVERY SUCCESS IN THEIR FUTURE.

ALSO, CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SPRING ATHLETES WHO WE CELEBRATED THIS EVENING.

THANK YOU TO MR. TOOMBS FOR BRINGING STUDENT ATHLETES HERE TONIGHT TO BE RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

AND THE MEETING TODAY IS A TRUE BUSINESS MEETING WHERE WE'RE WRAPPING UP THIS SCHOOL YEAR.

I'M A PARENT OF A RISING SECOND GRADER STUDENT AT PROSPECT HILL ELEMENTARY, HERE TO CONVEY BOTH MY PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE AND THE COLLECTIVE CONCERNS OF THE FELLOW PARENTS REGARDING THE ONGOING PROCESS AT OUR OUTDOOR CLASSROOM PROJECT.

I UNDERSTAND THAT THE INITIAL THE INITIATION OF THIS PROJECT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE APPROVAL OF THE STATE GRANT PAPERWORK, AS THIS PROJECT MUST BE ENTIRELY FUNDED BEFORE CONSTRUCTION CAN COMMENCE.

THE OUTDOOR CLASSROOM COMMITTEE DILIGENTLY UNDERTOOK A FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN, MAILING 1500 REQUESTS FOR CONTRIBUTIONS AND ORCHESTRATING A BRICKS INITIATIVE, WHICH SUCCESSFULLY GAINED ABOUT $75,000. WE ARE FREQUENTLY APPROACHED BY PARENTS, STUDENTS, TEACHERS, GRANDPARENTS, AUNTS, UNCLES, FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS INQUIRING ABOUT THE STATUS OF THIS OUTDOOR CLASSROOM.

WHILE I ACKNOWLEDGE THE COMMON EXPECTATION THAT A FUNDED PROJECT WILL HAPPEN INSTANTANEOUSLY, I. WE HAVE CONSISTENTLY SET A REALISTIC TIMELINE.

ABOUT A YEAR. MY CONCERNS ARISE FROM A MEETING HELD WITH THE DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 21ST. ALL PAPERWORK AND APPLICATIONS WERE SUBMITTED TO THE DISTRICT IN THE FALL.

THE OUTDOOR CLASSROOM COMMITTEE WAS NOT AUTHORIZED TO SUBMIT THESE DIRECTLY TO THE STATE. THE SCHOOL HAS TO DO IT THEMSELVES. FOLLOWING A PERIOD OF DIFFICULTY AND ELICITING RESPONSE AND DELAYS WITHIN THE INITIAL SUBMISSION TO THE STATE, WE REQUESTED THIS MEETING TO OBTAIN AN UPDATE.

DURING THE MEETING, WE RECEIVED EXPLICIT ASSURANCES THAT THE DISTRICT WAS ACTIVELY MANAGING THE PROCESS, THAT THEY WERE SOLELY AWAITING THE APPROVAL OF THE GRANT APPLICATION AT NO FURTHER ACTION WAS REQUIRED ON OUR PART.

WE WERE INFORMED THAT WE COULD TRUST THE DISTRICT AS A DESIGNATED POINT PERSON ON THIS GRANT TO ADVANCE THE PROJECT, ASSUMING NO DELAYS ORIGINATED FROM THE STATE.

I CONVEYED MY ASSURANCES TO COLLEAGUES AFFIRMING MY BELIEF IN THE DISTRICT THE DISTRICT'S STATED COMMITMENT AND EXPERTISE.

HOWEVER, THE MOST RECENT PTA MEETING ON JUNE 10TH, DURING THE OUTDOOR CLASSROOM UPDATE, IT WAS REVEALED THAT AN EMAIL SENT TO THE STATE DISPATCH AT THE END OF MARCH, JUST AFTER THAT EARLIER MENTIONED MEETING, HAD REMAINED UNANSWERED IN AN INBOX FOR TWO MONTHS.

THIS CONTRADICTS THE PRIOR ASSURANCES. I WISH TO UNDERSCORE TO THE BOARD THAT PROSPECT HILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND THE MANY CONTRIBUTORS ARE KEENLY ANTICIPATING THE OUTDOOR CLASSROOM. WE BEAR AN OBLIGATION TO EITHER DELIVER THE OUTDOOR CLASSROOM TIMELY AS PROMISED, OR REFUND THE CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED. MORE IMPORTANTLY, PROLONGED DELAYS IN THIS PROJECT WILL LEAD TO INCREASED COSTS.

I KNOW THE DISTRICT IS OVERWHELMED WITH THE BOND PROPOSITION, BUT THE HOPE THAT GOING FORWARD, THERE IS A DEDICATED PERSON TO REVIEW THE FAR AND FEW IN BETWEEN EMAILS FROM THE STATE, SO THERE ARE NO MORE DELAYS.

I'M SPEAKING TONIGHT ON BEHALF OF STEPHANIE ROYCE, A CONCERNED MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY AND ADVOCATE OF PROSPECT HILL OUTDOOR CLASSROOM PROJECT. IT'S DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING THAT MORE THAN SIX MONTHS AFTER THIS PROPOSAL WAS SUBMITTED TO THE DISTRICT, WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THE MEANINGFUL PROGRESS. DELAY IS NOT SIMPLY THE RESULT OF UNAVOIDABLE CIRCUMSTANCES.

IT STEMS FROM A PATTERN OF MISCOMMUNICATION AND INACTION.

IN SOME CASES, EMAILS WERE UNANSWERED FOR NEARLY TWO MONTHS.

THAT'S NOT A MAJOR OVERSIGHT. IT'S A FAILURE TO PRIORITIZE A PROJECT THAT REFLECTS THE VALUES AND ASPIRATIONS OF OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY.

THE OUTDOOR CLASSROOM IS NOT A LUXURY OR A SIDE PROJECT PROJECT, SORRY.

IT IS A THOUGHTFULLY DESIGNATED INITIATIVE THAT SUPPORTS HANDS ON OUTDOOR LEARNING, ENCOURAGES STUDENT ENGAGEMENT, AND ALIGNS WITH CURRENT BEST PRACTICES IN EDUCATION AND WELLNESS.

OUR TEACHERS, FAMILY, AND CHILDREN DESERVE BETTER THAN MONTHS OF SILENCE AND DELAYS WITH NO ACCOUNTABILITY. WE ASK.

WE ARE ASKING. WHAT WE ARE ASKING FOR IS SIMPLE, TIMELY COMMUNICATION, A CLEAR TIMELINE, A PLAN OF ACTION.

WE UNDERSTAND THAT CHALLENGES CAN ARISE, BUT WHEN WE DO, WE EXPECT TRANSPARENCY AND A WILLINGNESS TO COLLABORATE, NOT STONEWALL OR RADIO SILENCE. WE WANT TO WORK WITH THE DISTRICT NOT AGAINST IT, BUT IN ORDER TO MOVE FORWARD, WE NEED TO KNOW THAT OUR VOICES ARE BEING HEARD AND THAT OUR EFFORTS ARE BEING TAKEN SERIOUSLY. I RESPECTFULLY ASK OF THE BOARD TO ADDRESS THE CURRENT STATUS OF THE PROJECT AT PROSPECT HILL, PROVIDE A TIMELINE FOR NEXT STEPS, AND SHARE HOW THE DISTRICT PLANS TO PREVENT SIMILAR BREAKDOWNS AND COMMUNICATION GOING FORWARD. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND COMMUNICATION AND FOR YOUR COMMITMENT TO OUR SCHOOLS.

WE HOPE TO SEE RENEWED URGENCY AND COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER BECAUSE OUR STUDENTS DESERVE NOTHING LESS.

THEY DIDN'T WRITE IT DOWN, AND I DON'T KNOW, OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD ALONG WITH MANY PROSPECT HILL FAMILIES, WE DONATED TO THE OUTDOOR CLASSROOM PROJECT AS WE FEEL IT WOULD BE A WONDERFUL RESOURCE AND EDUCATIONAL SPACE FOR THE PROSPECT HILL STUDENTS AND PELHAM COMMUNITY WHILE RECOGNIZING THE CLASSROOM WOULD BENEFIT FUTURE GENERATIONS. LIKE MANY FAMILIES, WE HOPE OUR CHILDREN WILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY IT AS WELL. FOR US AND MANY PARENTS, THIS PROJECT IS TIME SENSITIVE. IF WE HOPE TO GAIN ANY BENEFIT FROM THE PROJECT WE HELP FUND.

WE MADE THE DONATION. AS PARENTS OF KINDERGARTEN AND PRE-K STUDENTS, WE ARE NOW IN THE PARENTS OF FUTURE FIRST AND SECOND GRADERS AND THE PROJECT FEELS NO CLOSER TO COMPLETION, NOT DUE TO ANY COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, WHO ONCE AGAIN WERE COUNTED ON TO DONATE THEIR MONEY TO BENEFIT THE SCHOOL.

MEETING THE FUNDRAISING FUNDRAISING GOALS QUICKLY, NOR DUE TO THE OUTDOOR COMMITTEE, WHO HAD SUBMITTED ALL NECESSARY PAPERWORK AND APPLICATIONS IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE DELAYS ARE DUE TO AN INACTION ON THE DISTRICT AND MOVING THE PROJECT FORWARD.

TO FIND OUT THAT STAFF MEMBER WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROCESSING THE GRANT INFORMATION HAS MISSED CRITICAL EMAILS, IS UNRESPONSIVE, IS UNRESPONSIVE TO THE OUTDOOR COMMITTEE AND THE CAUSE OF THE DELAY IS UNACCEPTABLE. THE HANDLING OF THIS MATTER BY THE DISTRICT HAS WEAKENED OUR TRUST, WEAKENED OUR TRUST IN THEIR ABILITY TO HANDLE PROJECTS FOR OUR SCHOOL.

IF A PROJECT OF THIS SIZE CANNOT BE MANAGED AND DEADLINES CANNOT BE MET.

WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE LARGER ISSUES FACING FACING THE DISTRICT? SORRY, I'M STILL NERVOUS. THE APPELLANT COMMUNITY HAS DONE THEIR PART AND DELIVERED WHAT ASKED OF THEM.

NOW IT'S TIME FOR THE DISTRICT TO DO THE SAME.

I'M SORRY. GO AS FAST AS I CAN BECAUSE THIS IS FROM SALLY GUERIN.

I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHERE SHE IS, BUT IT'S IN AN EMAIL SHE SENT ME, SO IF YOU NEED THAT, I CAN GET THAT FOR YOU AS WELL. ONE YEAR AGO, THE PROSPECT HILL ELEMENTARY COMMUNITY CAME TOGETHER IN AN EXTRAORDINARY SHOW OF SUPPORT AT THE TROP FOR TREES EVENT, RAISING MORE THAN $67,000 FOR THE CREATION OF AN OUTDOOR CLASSROOM.

FAMILIES, TEACHERS, FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS ALL CONTRIBUTED GENEROUSLY, INCLUDING BOTH SETS OF GRANDPARENTS FROM MY OWN FAMILY.

WE ALL HAD A COMMON GOAL OF ENRICHING OUR STUDENTS EDUCATION THROUGH OUTDOOR LEARNING.

BUT NOW, A FULL YEAR LATER, I FIND MYSELF HAVING NO EXPLANATION TO BOTH SETS OF GRANDPARENTS THAT NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.

NO GROUND HAS BEEN BROKEN. NO TIMELINE HAS BEEN SHARED. NO UPDATES HAVE BEEN PROVIDED.

IT IS DISAPPOINTING, DISHEARTENING, AND FRANKLY, HARD TO JUSTIFY TO THOSE WHO GAVE SO WILLINGLY TO SUPPORT OUR SCHOOL.

I KNOW THE OUTDOOR CLASSROOM COMMITTEE HAS CONTINUED TO WORK HARD, ADVOCATING PERSISTENTLY AND DOING EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO MOVE THIS PROJECT FORWARD.

UNFORTUNATELY, IT APPEARS THE EFFORT HAS STALLED ONCE IT REACHED THE DISTRICT LEVEL WHERE THE DELAY IS DUE TO RED TAPE SHIFTING PRIORITIES OR OVERSIGHT.

THE END RESULT IS THE SAME OUR CHILDREN ARE MISSING OUT ON A MEANINGFUL OPPORTUNITY.

MY DAUGHTER IS NOW A RISING FIFTH GRADER. WHEN WE DONATED THIS PROJECT, WE HOPED SHE AND HER CLASSMATES WOULD BENEFIT DIRECTLY.

AT THIS RATE, SHE MAY NEVER SEE IT COMPLETED.

THAT IS A REAL LOSS, NOT JUST FOR OUR FAMILY, BUT FOR EVERY STUDENT, TEACHER, AND DONOR WHO BELIEVED IN THIS INITIATIVE. I RESPECTFULLY URGE YOU TO PRIORITIZE POOR, EVEN PRACTICE THIS SILLY WORD, PRIORITIZE THIS PROJECT, AND TAKE IMMEDIATE STEPS TO MOVE IT FORWARD.

OUR STUDENTS DESERVE MORE THAN GOOD INTENTIONS.

THEY DESERVE TO SEE OUR COMMUNITY GENEROUSLY TURNED INTO ACTION. LET'S DELIVER ON THE PROMISE WE MADE.

WE ARE ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED TO HEAR THAT THE PROJECT HAS ESSENTIALLY NOT TAKEN OFF YET, EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN A FULL YEAR. THE BOARD OWES ALL DONORS AN ADEQUATE EXPLANATION AND TIMELINE.

YOU KNOW, THAT, YOU KNOW, WHERE THE DISTRICT'S FOCUS HAS BEEN FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS.

AND SO I THINK THAT I KNOW WE CAN SAY THAT, BUT I THINK THAT IS A VERY REALISTIC THING TO FOR ALL OF US TO REALLY COME TO TERMS WITH BECAUSE ALL OF OUR TIME HAS BEEN OVERWHELMED WITH THAT. SO I THINK THAT'S THE DISTRICT'S PRIORITY AS A WHOLE.

HAD TO SHIFT THERE. AND THERE'S A CERTAIN BANDWIDTH THAT COMES WITH THE DISTRICT PERSONNEL THAT NEEDS TO BE RECOGNIZED.

I KNOW DURING OUR BUDGET PROCESS, I WOULD SAY I REMEMBER DARA SPECIFICALLY ASKING US ABOUT ARE THERE AREAS, YOU KNOW, WHERE YOU, YOU KNOW, DON'T HAVE THE STRUCTURAL SUPPORT? AND I SAID IT AT THE TIME, AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN, OUR DISTRICT STAFF RUNS VERY LEAN.

WE DO NOT HAVE THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF THAT WE SHOULD HAVE FOR THE AMOUNT OF WORK THAT WE DO FOR SUCH A COMMUNITY THAT HAS VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS AND HIGH TOUCH EXPECTATIONS.

WE DON'T HAVE THE CLERICAL SUPPORT THAT WE SHOULD HAVE, BUT WE DO THAT BECAUSE WE PUT OUR FUNDS INTO THE CLASSROOM.

SO WHAT THAT DOES MEAN IS WHEN THERE ARE MAJOR THINGS ON THE PLATE AND THE PRIORITIES SHIFT, THINGS, YOU KNOW, THERE'S ONLY SO MANY HOURS IN THE DAY.

ON YEAR END WE ARE ACTUALLY MEETING NEXT WEEK WITH OUR ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM FOR TWO DAYS OF OFFSITE RETREAT.

AND AT THAT RETREAT, WE'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO REALLY DIG MORE DEEPLY INTO CELEBRATING THE WORK THAT WAS COMPLETED THIS YEAR AS WELL AS THEN CHARTING THE COURSE FOR NEXT YEAR.

SO WE'VE GOTTEN FEEDBACK, A LOT OF FEEDBACK AND REFLECTION FROM THE MTS COMMITTEE.

WE'LL ALSO BE SPENDING TIME ON THAT AT THE UPCOMING RETREAT NEXT WEEK.

AND THEN THE GOAL OF THAT IS TO GET IT READY FOR THE COMMUNICATION AND ROLL OUT TO THE ENTIRE FACULTY WHEN WE COME BACK IN SEPTEMBER.

SO WE'VE GOT THE PLANS IN PLACE. WE'VE GOT THE DATES ON THE CALENDAR FOR THAT WORK.

AND TRACY HOLTZ IS GOING TO BE LEADING THE WORK KIND OF UNDER THE MTS FRAMEWORK TO REALLY START TO FLESH OUT WHAT THE SELL SIDE OF THAT LOOKS LIKE.

SO ONE OF THE THINGS ALSO THAT WE'RE PLANNING IN THE YEAR TO COME IS SOME ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AROUND BRANCHING MINDS FOR THOSE WHO ARE NEW TO IT.

TRYING TO FIND WAYS THAT WE MIGHT EXPAND ITS USE AND MAKE IT MORE EFFICIENT AND MORE MEANINGFUL.

AND THEN ALSO WE'VE BEEN EXPLORING MORE TRAINING FOR DATA VIZ.

I KNOW THE BOARD REMEMBERS THAT FROM PRIOR YEAR.

SO WE'VE BEEN STRUGGLING TO FIND QUITE THE RIGHT SUPPORT FOR THAT DEVELOPMENT, BUT THAT'S STILL ON THE RADAR.

AND THOSE PLANS ARE BEING MADE AS WE HEAD INTO NEXT SCHOOL YEAR.

IN PRIORITY AREA TWO. WE HAD TO MAKE SURE. SO OUR FIRST BULLET HERE WAS ASSESSING CURRENT BUILDING AND DISTRICT PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES THAT PROVIDE INCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENT STAFF AND FAMILIES AND FOSTER A SENSE OF BELONGING. WHAT I WOULD SAY IS WE DO A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF THIS, AND WE HAVE ACTUALLY ADDED TO SOME OF THAT WORK THIS YEAR.

WHAT WE WERE NOT ABLE TO GET TO WAS THE FIRST PIECE OF ADDRESSING GAPS, AREAS, CATEGORIZING THEM REALLY KIND OF THAT ASSESSMENT AND LISTING. SO WE'RE DOING A LOT OF THE WORK. I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO THINK WE'RE NOT DOING THE WORK.

WE JUST DIDN'T GET TO THE ASSESSMENT AND THE IDENTIFYING OF GAPS TO THEN DESIGN WHERE WE CAN FILL IN.

WE DID THE MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL DID CONTINUE THEIR STUDENT CLIMATE SURVEYS THIS YEAR. THEY WERE ABLE TO GET BOTH A FALL AND A SPRING ADMINISTRATION OUT, WHICH WAS GREAT. AND BOTH SAW SOME REALLY GREAT DATA IN AREAS OF GROWTH AND IMPROVEMENT MOVING FROM THE FALL TO THE SPRING, WHICH WAS EXCITING. SO THE SCHOOL CULTURE AND BELONGING COMMITTEE, I BELIEVE, TOOK A LOOK AT THOSE THIS YEAR.

THE BUILDING CERTAINLY PRINCIPALS WITH THEIR FACULTY SPENT SOME TIME ON THOSE.

THAT'S GOING TO BE INFORMATIVE. AND ANOTHER PIECE OF WHAT'S GOING TO BE HAPPENING NEXT YEAR AS A RESULT OF THE CONVERSATION AT THE SCHOOL CULTURE AND BELONGING COMMITTEE IS SOME REFINING OF THOSE SURVEYS SO THAT WE GET BETTER DATA.

I KNOW DOCTOR COMERFORD COMING STRAIGHT OFF OF HER DOCTORAL WORK IN STATISTICAL ANALYSIS.

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE SAW, AND YOU MAY REMEMBER IT FROM LOOKING AT THE SURVEYS, IS THERE WAS A NEUTRAL CHOICE.

IT WAS KIND OF LIKE A STRONGLY, VERY STRONGLY, STRONGLY NEUTRAL, YOU KNOW, A RANGE LIKE THAT.

WE KEPT GETTING THAT NEUTRAL AND WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. SO WE'RE GOING TO ACTUALLY TALKED ABOUT REMOVING THAT.

WE HAD TALKED ABOUT INCREASING CONNECTIONS BETWEEN OUR SCHOOL SPORTS PROGRAMS AND THEN COMMUNITY REC AND OUR LITTLE LEAGUE'S FEEDER PROGRAMS. SO MR. TOOMBS WAS ABLE TO DO THAT. WE HAD SEVERAL YOUTH GAMES THIS YEAR YOUTH GAMES BEING WHERE THE AGAIN, THE REC OR THE FEEDER PROGRAMS FOR THE SPECIFIC PROGRAMS. CAME TO THE VARSITY GAMES AND EITHER DID A LITTLE MINI GAME DURING HALFTIME.

THEY CAME ON THE FIELD AS THE STUDENTS WERE ANNOUNCED, OR THEY WENT OUT DURING PREGAME TIME.

SO WE WERE ABLE TO DO THAT THROUGH VARSITY BASEBALL, BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL, SOCCER, AND LACROSSE THIS YEAR, WHICH IS A GREAT START. AND WE'RE HOPING THAT TO CATCH THAT ON WITH THE OTHER COACHES AND HELP TO MOVE THAT OUT BROADER IN THE COMING YEAR.

CERTAINLY ON THE SEAL OF CIVIC READINESS, THE BOARD KNOWS THIS.

WE HAD THIS YEAR, WE WENT FROM, I THINK, 64 STUDENTS WHO EARNED IT LAST YEAR TO 77, WHO WERE IN THAT IN THIS YEAR'S GRADUATING CLASS.

SO THAT WAS SOMETHING WE'RE INCREDIBLY PROUD OF.

AND THE QUALITY OF THE WORK IS JUST ASTONISHING TO ME IN ONLY ITS SECOND YEAR.

IF ANY OF YOU WERE AT THE I KNOW SOME OF YOU WERE AT THE SEAL OF THE CIVIC READINESS PRESENTATIONS AND JUST THE CALIBER OF THE PRESENTATIONS, THE DEPTH AND THE RELEVANCE REALLY WAS, WAS SO IMPRESSIVE TO ME.

IT REMINDED ME VERY MUCH OF THE SCIENCE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM THAT WE DO IN THE FALL, WHERE STUDENTS GET UP AND PRESENT THEIR RESEARCH AND THEIR FINDINGS, AND IN THIS CASE, THEIR APPLICATION OF HOW THEY WOULD MOVE THIS FORWARD OR HAD MOVED IT FORWARD.

AND AGAIN, THE DEPTH OF THINKING AROUND IT AND THE VALUE TO THE STUDENT IN THE COMMUNITY WAS WAS IMPRESSIVE.

GOING INTO PRIORITY THREE, THIS IS WHERE A LOT OF OUR WORK WOUND UP BEING THIS YEAR, AS THE BOARD IS WELL AWARE.

SO WE WERE VERY EXCITED. THE FIRST ITEM THERE ASSEMBLE ACROSS DEPARTMENTAL COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS AND LEAD FACILITIES WORK.

SO AS WE KNOW, WE HAD TWO SUCCESSFUL BOND PROPOSITIONS PASSED OUR BUDGET AND A HOUSE PURCHASE PASSED.

SO THAT I THINK IS VERY MUCH THE RESULT OF THIS COMBINED COLLABORATIVE WORK WITH THE COMMUNITY, WITH THE EDUCATIONAL LEADERS AND FACULTY OUR FACILITIES DEPARTMENT AND OUR CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONALS AS WELL. SO REALLY APPRECIATIVE OF THAT AND THE COMMUNITY SUPPORT.

WE'RE CONSIDERING WE DO HAVE ANOTHER OUTSTANDING AUDIT FROM A PRIOR YEAR THAT'S PROBABLY GOING TO BE THE ROADMAP FOR THE YEAR TO COME, SO IT MIGHT BE ANOTHER POWERHOUSE YEAR THERE.

AND WE KEEP TALKING ABOUT THESE SIMPLE LITTLE THINGS. THEY DO BRING KIDS TOGETHER. SO I JUST AM PROUD OF THEM FOR THE WORK THAT THEY DID AND THE IDEAS THAT BROUGHT FORWARD AND

I THINK THIS IS A BIG FINANCIAL ASK FOR THE COMMUNITY, AND IT'S SOMETHING THAT WE'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO TALK ABOUT AND THINK ABOUT, BECAUSE IT'S STILL AN IMPORTANT THING FOR THE BOARD AND FOR MYSELF, THAT OUR STUDENTS HAVE A PLACE THAT THEY CAN CONGREGATE AND THEY CAN CALL THEIR OWN.

SO ALL OF THE STAFF ARE STILL BUSY COMPLETING DOCUMENTS AND FINALIZING AND ENTERING INFORMATION.

I ALSO WANT TO ECHO DOCTOR COMERFORD SENTIMENTS.

YOU KNOW, FOR THE STAFF THAT'S INVOLVED IN SPECIAL EDUCATION WORLD MEETINGS, IT'S A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF WORK.

WE HELD OVER 780 MEETINGS ALONE DURING ANNUAL REVIEW SEASON.

IN ADDITION, I BELIEVE THE BOARD KNOWS WE HAVE A NEW 812 CLASS THAT'S STARTING AT HUTCHINSON IN THE FALL.

WE'RE ALSO BUSY PLANNING FOR THAT. ORDERING MATERIALS.

GETTING THE TEACHER UP TO SPEED. WORKING WITH MISS KEANE THOMPSON ON THE SPACE.

SO WE'RE VERY EXCITED THAT THAT IS IN THE PROCESS.

WE ARE CONTINUING OUR WORK OVER THE SUMMER AS WELL WITH OUR BOCES PARTNERS ON THE RECOVERY GRANT.

SHE DID MEET WITH THE SECONDARY STAFF DURING SUPERINTENDENT CONFERENCE.

IT WAS VERY WELL RECEIVED, AND WE'RE PROBABLY GOING TO DO SOMETHING FOR ELEMENTARY STAFF AS WELL. ALSO IN TERMS OF RESPONSIVE CLASSROOM, I KNOW DOCTOR CHAMP MENTIONED THAT IN THE YEAR END REPORT, WE DID MOVE TO A NEW MODEL THIS YEAR.

SO I MET WITH DOCTOR CARR AND MISS GARCIA AND OUR RESPONSIVE CLASSROOM PARTNERS THE OTHER DAY TO KIND OF WRAP UP HOW THE NEW MODEL WENT.

THEY DID GIVE A SURVEY TO THE TEACHERS AS WELL TO SEE HOW THEY LIKE THE NEW MODEL.

AND WHAT WE WERE ABLE TO DO IN THIS NEW MODEL IS PICK TEN TEACHERS AND DO A DEEP DIVE IN COACHING WITH THOSE TEN TEACHERS.

SO WE WERE PROVIDED A SUMMARY THAT WAS SHARED WITH DOCTOR CARR AND MISS GARCIA AND THE ANECDOTAL QUALITATIVE DATA, BECAUSE THEY DID BOTH, THEY GOT THAT COACHES WERE DESCRIBED AS OPEN MINDED, THOUGHTFUL, ENCOURAGING, KIND, OFFERING AMAZING IDEAS AND RESOURCES THAT WERE SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED.

THE COACHING AND CONSULTING EXPERIENCE POSITIVELY IMPACTED CLASSROOMS, PROVIDING TEACHERS WITH PRACTICAL STRATEGIES FOR EFFECTIVE BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT AND CREATING MORE ORGANIZED AND SUPPORTIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS. IT WAS A REAL POSITIVE TAKEAWAY WITH THIS MODEL.

PART OF WHAT WE ALSO DISCUSSED WITH DOCTOR CARR AND MISS GARCIA, BECAUSE THIS NEW MODEL FINANCIALLY ONLY ALLOWS US TO FOCUS ON TWO BUILDINGS AT A TIME, WHAT THEY CAN DO IN THEIR BUILDING ON THE OFF YEAR.

SO THE RESPONSIVE CLASSROOM PARTNERS OFFERED A LOT OF GREAT RESOURCES TO DOCTOR CARR, MISS GARCIA.

THERE THEY RATIFIED THE TENTATIVE AGREEMENT LAST WEEK.

AND SO YOU WILL SEE THAT CONTRACT FOR YOUR APPROVAL IN THE AGENDA TONIGHT.
