WHEREAS, the Board of Education had approved a contract between the District and Dr. Lauro dated February 11, 2008, by providing for the terms and conditions under which Dr. Lauro serves as Superintendent of Schools for the aforementioned term; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Education is extremely pleased with the performance of Dr. Lauro during his term as Superintendent of Schools and, as a result, wishes to reappoint Dr. Lauro to a new term;

NOW, THEREFORE be it resolved that the Board of Education of the Pelham Union Free School District hereby reappoints Dr. Dennis Lauro as Superintendent of Schools for a new term commencing August 1, 2010 and ending July 31, 2014 and hereby authorized the President of the Board of Education to enter into a contract of employment with Dr. Lauro dated January 24, 2011 covering the aforementioned term; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all prior appointments and contracts are hereby nullified.

BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED, that this merit award will be made in accordance with the Pelham Administrators’ Association contract, Article II, Salaries (E) upon recommendation of the Superintendent and that it be granted to Dr. Limato for exemplary service to the District.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an award of $4,016 will be paid to Dr. Limato this year and will be added to his base pay in accordance with the contract for Dr. Limato’s outstanding service as the Director of Elementary Education for the past year.
