1. CALL TO ORDER - 7:30 P.M.
Mr. Brice called the meeting to order at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the Superintendent's Conference Room at 18 Franklin Place.
2. MOTION TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE
MOTION was made by Mrs. Kiernan, seconded by Mr. Howard and unanimously carried to go into executive session to discuss the financial, credit and/or employment history of a particular person and/or corporation.
3. MOTION TO RECESS
MOTION was made by Dr. Arden, seconded by Mrs. Kiernan and unanimously carried to recess at 8:25 p.m., at which time the Board would reconvene in a public meeting in the Pelham Middle School Library.
4. MOTION TO RECONVENE IN PUBLIC MEETING IN THE PMS LIBRARY
Motion to Approve to reconvene in a public meeting. Moved by Mr. Eicher, seconded by Mrs. Kiernan.

5. CALL TO ORDER - PELHAM MIDDLE SCHOOL LIBRARY - 8:30 P.M.
Mr. Brice called the meeting to order at 8:44 p.m. in the Pelham Middle School Library and welcomed everyone. All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. Eicher reiterated the previously noted executive session motions. Approximately 37 community members/staff attended.
Mr. Brice said that the Board likes to honor our students and tonight we would recognize students who participated in the National History Day Competition.
6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
6.1 Motion to Approve Minutes of Special Meeting of May 4, 2010
Motion to Approve the following, as corrected. (. . . during the "Tour De Arts evening in downtown Pelham.") Moved by Mr. Eicher, seconded by Mrs. Kiernan.

7. ADMINISTRATIVE AND COMMITTEE REPORTS
7.1 Study Session Topic: Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment Courses
Mrs. Clark and Mr. Farrell reported on the advanced placement program and dual enrollment courses. The Board asked questions to which Mrs. Clark and Mr. Farrell responded.
7.2 Construction Update
Mr. Brice reported that the Board recently toured the construction at Colonial School and also the renovation on the high school library. He reported progress in all areas. Mr. Brice particularly thanked the Colonial community for helping out with the logistics of that project.
7.3 Student Life Committee Report
Dr. Arden reported that the Student Life Committee continues to work on the new co-curricular code of conduct. Because the committee would like to hear parent input on the subject, a special meeting of the Board of Education will be publicized to all parents and held on May 26th.
7.4 Policy Committee Report
Dr. Arden gave an update from the Policy Committee Update during which she reviewed the 7200 and 8000 policy series.
7.5 Finance Committee Report
Mr. Eicher noted that the Finance Committee meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, May 26th, will be rescheduled now that there will be a special Board meeting set on that same date.
